In the year 2020 the Pandemic forced us to remain stay at home and forced millions of people around the world to use Video conferences .Zoom is also the highly used household name. According to a report Zoom is also working on an Email service to compete with the Google and Microsoft. It is also said that company is going to launch a calendar app also.
This report states that Zoom is already start testing its email service .However there is not any confirmation regarding the calendar app.
Biggest Competition
In this area the biggest competition is with the Microsoft and Google which also offers these services including email, video conferencing tools calendar apps. This year a lot of companies like Apple, Google have extended their work from home till mid of 2021. When company employees resume their work in office video conferencing apps usage will be cut off. To launch an email service Zoom could need a world after pandemic

Zoom supports more than 3.5 trillion annualized meeting minutes and sees well over 300 million daily meeting participants more than triple Google meets 1 trillion minutes of video calls globally. Zoom has also the potential to become a more consumer – focused brand.
Zoom noted in his latest 10Q filing with the SEC that he will face a good competition from rivals that can offer a bundle of software .Certain competitor’s offer or may offer in future lower priced free products or services that competes with our platform.
The company’s sales more than tripled last quarter, which is $777 Million and it issued a guidance projecting revenue of up to $2.58 billion for the 2021 fiscal year
Zoom Strategy and its Barrier
As information says zoom email service may launch in 2021. But If we talk about the strategy it is making sense that zoom to launch its new service because it still has the engagement from a captive audience. But as Gmail Already exists and also it offers so many products and services it proves to be a barrier for the next generation email service to overcome.
