Whatsapp Payments- Whatsapp payment is now available to a large number of users in India. Meta owned messaging App is doing testing on a large scale of its Payment service in the country from last one year and now the service of whatsapp payments will be rolling officially given by NPCI who has given the approval to whatsapp.
This service is enable to 20 million whatsapp users however the app has 400 million users in India. Because the NPCI has made a capping of 30 percent cap implemented on total payments volume. It is very easy to set up the whatsapp payments and add bank account in it lets have a look at the process you have to follow to add bank account in your whatsapp.
Steps to add Bank account on whatsapp
First open whatsapp on your android device click on three dots
Go to Payments and click on add new account
Press accept and continue to accept the payment terms and privacy policy.
Now click on verify via sms and then allow.
If your whatsapp has already has permission to place and manage phone calls then there is no need to give permission.
Now select the name of the bank you want to add for the payment from the list of the banks displayed
Click on the bank account you wish to add to send and receive payments with whatsapp and click on done.
There will be requirement of accepting the payment terms and privacy policy only when you initially setting up bank account on whatsapp. Whatsapp payment use UPI and supports major banks of India. The phone number which is linked to your whatsapp is used for the identification of your bank account as the similar number will be added in to your bank account as well. If you don’t want to do payments through whatsapp in any point of time you can remove your bank account.
Steps to remove Bank account on whatsapp
Open whatsapp and click on payments
Click on the bank account you want to delete
Click on remove bank account.
