You are not breathing air, you are inhaling smoke. you are not drinking water you are consuming toxins. Our environment is not the same as it used to be during the times when people used horses to travel and bulls as carriage. Nature has been ruined and we have to take the blame for it, we have been polluting our mother nature for a very long time and it seems like everything around is harmful, the air, the water nothing is pollution free. If we have caused pollution in our surroundings then it is us only who have to solve this environmental issue. Raipur (Chhattisgarh) has taken a step further to prevent our environment from further damage, they have introduced a new way to deal with this issue.
Raipur has introduced logs made out of Cow Dung(cow manure) to be used in funerals for cremation in order to conserve trees and to control harmful gases that are released into the environment when wood is burnt.
The municipal corporation said that they will provide these Logs for free.
Rajkumar Sahu, President of this initiative told the media ” We will provide these logs for free and these logs are created with the help of a machine. A machine can produce enough logs in a day that will be sufficient for four funerals.”
The mayor of the Raipur City, Pramod Dubey while appreciating this initiative said that this project will put a brake on cutting of trees in Chhattisgarh.
This initiative is really a remarkable step in protecting the environment, with increased global warming and diseases spreading like fire, the concerned departments should take necessary measures to conserve our natural resources and we all need to join our hands and save our environment in every possible way, do what you can to help make your surroundings better and make this earth a more beautiful place.
